Exponential Growth (J Curve)
If a predator such as a shark in a specific area of the ocean were to die the fish population would start to grow exponentially. If a new shark were to come in to their area, the opposite would happen and a reverse J curve could happen slowly over time.

Logistic Growth (S Curve)
Every winter some of a population of fish dies in the ocean. In the spring, more mating occurs and the population grows. Once the population reaches a certain level, no more mating occurs for that time period.
